Example message:

I urge you to oppose and vote against the anti-refugee and anti-migrant Bill C-12, the “Strengthening Canada’s Immigration System and Borders Act.” This must be withdrawn.

Bill C-12 is an attack on migrants and will cause serious harm by:

– Denying refugee protection to anyone in Canada over one year—even if their home country becomes dangerous after arrival (affects everyone since June 2020)

– Allowing mass deportations by giving officials power to cancel work permits, study permits, and permanent residency for entire groups without any oversight

– Eliminating further rights for asylum seekers crossing from the US between official ports

– Removing privacy safeguards by allowing unrestricted sharing of migrants’ personal information across all government levels

The crisis is already here: Over 3,000 permits expire daily under current policies. Bill C-12 will make this exponentially worse.

This isn’t border security—it’s creating a cruel, violent, and racist mass deportation machine that will tear apart families and communities.

I am calling on you to do the right thing:

– Oppose Bill C-12 and call for its withdrawal

– Refuse the scapegoating of migrants for the housing and affordability crisis

– An end to the Safe Third Country Agreement

– A comprehensive, inclusive, and permanent regularization program

I will be watching carefully to make sure you oppose these harmful measures.
