Yesterday evening (September 9, 2013), more than 50 people gathered on the basis of a callout by No One Is Illegal Montreal (http://nooneisillegal-montreal.blogspot.ca/2013/09/9-septembre-rencontre-contre-le-projet.html) in order to discuss mobilizations against the proposed Charter of Quebec Values. Many ideas were shared, including the organization of a demonstration, popular education efforts, and more.
Our name as a coalition will be “Ensemble contre les chartes xénophobes”. We decided on a date and time for a demonstration against xenophobia and against the proposed Charter. The demonstration will be SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20 at 1pm.
