VIGIL to stop the deportation of Paola Ortiz
THURSDAY, September 22
from 6:00 pm
until the morning
200 Réné-levesque 0, metro Place-des-arts

We invite you to come to a night-long vigil in front of the IRB located at 200 Rene-
Levesque O (Guy Favreau Complex) on September 22 starting at 6:00 pm. Bring candles,
food, banners and your voice. Please continue writing and calling Immigration Minister
Jason Kenney, Minister of Public Security Vic Toews, and your MP and speak out
against the deportation of Paola Ortiz.

WHY ?

Judge Boivin announced that Mrs. Paola Ortiz was to leave for Mexico on Tuesday,
September 20, leave their children behind. As she said goodbye to her children,
she began having a panic attack and was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital. She was
discharged around noon.

Today, September 21, Paola went to Immigration Canada at 11:30 and received horrible
news. She is ordered to go to Mexico Friday, September 23 at 6am. The federal court
claims that she did not present enough proof on her behalf and that her Canadian born
children should go to Mexico and be deprived of the medical attention they receive here.

We ask you to share this message with others and try to change the destiny of Paola and
her children.

We hope to see you there,
